Paris, 2008- Summit for the Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean
More than forty heads of government and state took part in this summit, held in Paris on 13 July 2008 to launch the Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean.
Barcelona, 2005- The first Euromed “Barcelona+10” summit
The Summit of the Tenth Anniversary of the Barcelona Process, known as “Barcelona+10”, brought together European and Mediterranean heads of state and government and foreign ministers to evaluate the 10 years of the Barcelona Process and to approve a work programme to give it a new boost.
Barcelona, 1995- The First Euro-Med Conference
The Foreign Ministers of the countries of the EU and of Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, the Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey and the Palestinian National Authority approved the launch of the Barcelona Process and its three core themes: political and security partnership, economic and financial partnership and social, cultural and human partnership.
